THE countdown to Christmas has begun, and Forestry England is helping visitors to Kielder Castle this weekend get into the festive mood.
Visitors will find lots to do for a Christmas day out, including pop-up stalls to browse full of gifts for family and friends. Live choir singing will add to the festive atmosphere.
The Shaun the Sheep and Zog children’s activity trails will be open and the café will be serving some festive specials as part of their menu.
Guests will also find real Christmas trees for sale.
It will also be the last chance to view The Custody Code, a film installation by artist Amanda Loomes revealing stories from the working forest.
The Christmas fair will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can buy the activity packs for the Zog and the Shaun the Sheep trail from the Bike Place at Kielder Castle, and are advised to download the app to accompany the Shaun the Sheep trail in advance.
