POLICE are looking for a man accused of using threatening behaviour in a supermarket twice in two days after he failed to attend court last week.
Edward George Robinson (25), of Grainger Street, Newcastle, was due at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court on November 21 to answer a charge of using threatening, abusive words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or unlawful violence in Hexham's Tesco supermarket on Alemouth Road on September 18.
He was also charged with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harrassment, alarm or distress, and a separate charge of theft of cigarettes to the value of £8.68 from the same store on September 17.
In addition, Robinson was accused of failing to answer bail on November 20 and 21.
After failing to show at court on November 21, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
