A FARMER has been fined for driving without due care and attention.
John Pennell (80), of Hayring Farm, Nenthead, was fined £307 for his actions on the B6295 Thornley Gate crossroads, in Allendale, on April 15.
He pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention when he appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court last Thursday.
In addition to the fine, Pennell was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £85, and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
