A MAN received a six-month prison sentence after admitting to carrying a knife in a city centre bar.
Thomas Burn (30), of Windsor Crescent, Ovingham, appeared at Newcastle Crown Court last Friday after he pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing. The court heard he possessed the knife blade at Pop World, in Newcastle, on August 18.
He also admitted possessing a quantity of the Class B drug, cannabis.
The six-month prison sentence was suspended for 18 months.
