REDESDALE camp was the coldest place in England last night, according to the Met Office.
Temperatures plummeted throughout the country overnight, and it was the Rede Valley location which recorded the lowest of -7.1 degrees C.
The Met Office weather forecast for Tuesday night said there would be clear spells in the evening before areas of low cloud, mist and fog formed overnight with a minimum temperature of -1 °C.
