A LEADING careers and personal development charity will run programmes for young people in the North-East.
Inspira will head to Hexham Community Centre on Monday, December 2 between 10am and 2pm to help them on the career ladder.
The charity is running a summer programme for young people nationwide and wants to raise awareness of the opportunities available to them.
Susan Watkins, area operations manager for Inspira said: “Inspira will be at Hexham Community Centre on December 2 offering tea and biscuits to organisations and individuals interested in talking to us about the summer programme for young people finishing their GCSEs.
“Inspira has delivered the programme in Cumbria and Lancashire for many years, so we are delighted to be delivering in Northumberland, and Newcastle too.”
The summer programme sees large numbers of Year 11 pupils taking part in a five-day outdoor activity residential, a five-day residential learning life skills, and then learning about their local community and designing and delivering a social action project for a local charity.
