MAJOR work on a junction near Prudhoe is entering its final phase.
However, the A695 will see a series of night time closures put in place as the 16-week job comes to a close.
The junction is being transformed into a roundabout due to a planning condition placed on Gentoo Homes by Northumberland County Council, in connection with its 404-home Cottier Grange development in Prudhoe.
The section of the A695 will be closed to all traffic on Thursday and Friday evenings, (November 7 and November 8) with further closures planned on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week.
The road will be closed between 8pm and 6am, during which time traffic will be diverted via Crawcrook, Wylam, Horsley, the A69, the A68, Stocksfield and back to Prudhoe.
The late evening Number 10 Bus will bypass Prudhoe. A shuttle bus will operate to take passengers from Riding Mill to Prudhoe.
