A MICKLEY healthcare worker has been nominated for a national award for his positivity and dedication to his role.
Peter Haddow, a nursing assistant at Ferndene Children and Young People’s Inpatient Service in Prudhoe, is one of 34 regional finalists up for a national Our Health Heroes Award.
He works at the Fraser Ward in Ferndene – an inpatient service which provides care and treatment for young people with learning disabilities and other mental health problems.
Peter was the regional winner of the Clinical Support Worker of the Year award and will find out if he is to receive the national accolade at an awards ceremony next month.
He said: “I was over the moon to have won the regional Our Health Heroes award and to win the national one would be such a special moment.”
