RESIDENTS in the west end of Hexham have raised concerns after vehicles were damaged on four occasions.
County councillor Derek Kennedy said residents on Millfield Terrace had been in touch after their cars were keyed on Saturday night.
Residents said this was the fourth time cars had been targeted, with the first incident in June when at least seven cars were scratched.
Earlier this month, residents complained about a similar incident where at least six cars were damaged in front of South Rigg, but also on Cockshaw and Millfield Terrace.
Coun. Kennedy said: “It is concerning because this isn’t normally the type of area this would happen. It is a quiet area and you don’t usually have people passing through. It seems to have been targeted quite a few times and it is costing people a lot of money.”
Northumbria Police said the person responsible for the incident on Saturday had not been identified. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log 523 27/10/19.
