A MOTORIST has been fined for driving while twice the legal drink drive limit.

Jacek Wojclechowski (33), of Scales Crescent, Prudhoe, pleaded guilty at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Thursday to drink driving.

The court heard that Wojeclechowski drove through the town’s Front Street on August 18 with 78 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

The legal limit is 35mg.

Wojeclechowski was fined £200 by magistrates and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £35 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with 10 penalty points.
