A MAN appeared in court accused of carrying a Stanley knife in a city centre bar.
Thomas Alan Ernest Burn (30), of Windsor Crescent, Ovingham, pleaded guilty at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Thursday to possessing the knife blade at Pop World, in Newcastle’s Bigg Market on August 18.
He also admitted possessing a quantity of the Class B drug, cannabis.
Burn’s case was sent to Newcastle Crown Court and is due to be heard on November 15.
