ARE you ready to train for a fulfilling career? If you are confident with people, hard-working and determined to succeed, then Parkside Pharmacy, in Bellingham, might be able to offer you a step in the right direction.

The business has a full-time Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant position to fill, which offers on-site and external, accredited training through a structured learning and development programme, within a small, friendly team.

If you are comfortable in a retail environment, working on your own as well as in a team, and enjoy helping people, you might be just the person to fill this role.

As a medicine counter assistant, you will be the first point of contact with patients, so you should be personable and able to deal easily and confidently with the public.

Parkside Pharmacy is a family business and the staff of five full and part-time staff are committed to offering the best service to their customers. Although no previous experience is necessary, a willingness to learn, to work hard, the ability to work well within a team, and to deal easily and confidently with patients, is desirable.

Owner and resident Pharmacist, Shammi Nair, says: “We are looking for an individual who will fit into our friendly team, and who is keen to gain experience and qualifications, potentially with a view to further progression in the future.

“Although we are not asking for specific qualifications, working towards recognised qualifications, for example, GCSEs in Maths and English, will be part of the programme. Customer-facing experience is not essential, but good customer skills would be an advantage.”

The successful applicant will be expected to work a number of Saturdays each month as part of the contracted hours.

If you would like further information, please call 01434 220231 and speak to Shammi.
