A WOMAN must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work after driving whilst more than three times over the limit.
Claire Louise Mitchell (38), of Spittal Terrace, Hexham, was given a 12-month community order after pleading guilty at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on Monday to drink driving. The court heard that, on April 17 on St Helen’s Street, in Corbridge, she drove with 129 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mg.
After banning her from driving for 24 months, magistrates also ordered Mitchell to pay costs of £250 and a victim surcharge of £85.
