A MAN has been banned from driving for more than a year after pleading guilty to drink driving.
George Roughead (68), of Blackett Cottages, Wylam, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.
He pleaded guilty to one charge of driving while over the limit, and was banned from driving for 17 months.
He was also fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £85.
The charge related to an incident in Newcastle on August 11.
