A LIFE-SAVING device is set to be installed at a Prudhoe extra care scheme.
The Manors in Prudhoe will have a public-access defibrillator fitted by the end of the year.
County councillor Gordon Stewart, who represents Prudhoe South, put money towards the defibrilator from his member’s allowance, with support from the Prudhoe NISA store's community fund.
Speaking at Prudhoe Town Council’s September meeting, Coun. Stewart said: “A public access defibrillator will be fitted to the Manors.
“We’re involving the whole community.
“Karbon Homes have agreed to install it and their electricians will be doing the work for free.
“It will hopefully be installed by the end of the year.”
