A FAMOUS face had the honour of opening a new housing development.

Tim Healy, known for his roles in Auf Wiedersehen Pet and more recently Benidorm, took time out of his busy schedule to cut the ribbon to declare the Coach House development, situated on the A695 between Hexham and Corbridge, open.

Mr Healy is a personal friend of people who work at housing developers Birchdove Homes, and he was happy to lend his support to promote the scheme for eight four and five-bed detached homes.

Ed Seymour, branch manager at Hexham-based estate agent Foster Maddison which has the properties up for sale, said: “It was a pleasure having Tim along on the day. He met and greeted some of the first visitors to Coach House.

“We had a constant stream of visitors all day, and they were all impressed by the quality of design and high level of specification throughout. We have been following up some strong enquiries since the opening."

Mr Seymour added: "Coach House will be one of the finest developments in the Tyne Valley, providing exceptional luxury living in a contemporary environment.

“The combination of high-quality materials used in the design and build have not only created striking homes but also a varied and stunning streetscape in a fabulous location.”
