A MAN has been banned from driving for 16 months after being found guilty of failing to provide a breath sample.
Kenneth Youngman (58), of Bishops Hill, Acomb, appeared at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 27.
He previously pleaded not guilty at a hearing at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court in July.
The court heard Youngman was asked to provide a breath sample to police following an motoring incident at Newcastle on June 1, but he refused to co-operate.
He was banned from driving for 16 months, fined £850 and ordered to pay costs of £120, and a victim surcharge of £82.
