A MAN has admitted causing the death of a woman and injuring two others by driving dangerously.

Viorel Grancea (31) of Darnley Street, Glasgow, was driving a Ford Focus estate when it was in a head-on collision with an Hyundai I30 on August 20 on the A69 near Haydon Bridge.

At Newcastle Crown Court on Friday he pleaded guilty to causing the death of 29-year-old Denis-Alexandra Radvan, as well as causing serious injury to the driver of the Hyundai and another passenger in his car. He also admitted causing death by driving while uninsured, causing death by driving while unlicensed and driving while uninsured and otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

He is due to be sentenced on October 10.
