A NORTHUMBRIAN care home which improves the lives of older people, with its unique brand of support and care, is looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join the friendly team.

The Charlotte Straker Project is an independent charity, based in Corbridge, that relies on donations to provide excellent residential, nursing and respite care to the elderly frail in Northumberland.

The charity has been improving the lives of older people with their unique brand of support and care since 1992. The dedicated, well-trained team ensure that individuals living in this well-equipped and comfortable accommodation, receive attention all day, every day, which enhances quality of life for the elderly frail in their care.

They offer short-break, 24-hour respite care for people who need continuous care at home, as well as outstanding, long-term residential care.

The charity promotes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with highly-trained, qualified registered nurses, supported by a team of expert care staff, domestic, kitchen and activities staff.

After its official inspection on December 7, 2018, the CQC rated Charlotte Straker House as “Good” for Safe, Effective, Caring and Responsive and “Outstanding” for Well-Led.

The vacant position is for a Senior Care Assistant (Nights) working 36 hours per week, within a friendly and supportive caring team.
