A MAN has been given a suspended prison sentence after admitting to stalking and two counts of assault.
John Lewis Storey (30) of Bradley Road, Prudhoe appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court in Bedlington on Monday to be sentenced.
He had admitted stalking without fear, alarm or distress for which he was ordered to pay a total of £315 in costs and compensation.
He was also given a six-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and was handed a restraining order.
He was also charged with assaulting two different people in August this year.
He had previously admitted the charges and was given a further 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, followed by four weeks for the second assault, to run concurrently with the sentence for the first assault, also suspended for 18 months.
For the assaults he was ordered to pay a combined compensation sum of £150.
On the same court date he was also sentenced for damaging a door and a light switch to the value of £100, which he admitted, and was ordered to pay compensation of £100.
