A HEXHAM man who was three times over the drink drive limit has been banned from the road.
Simon Walker (52) of Rylstone, Fellside, was banned from driving for 28 months after pleading guilty to one charge of drink driving at South East Northumberland Magistrates Court. Walker was also ordered to pay a fine of £1,077, a victim surcharge of £107 and costs of £85.
The charge related to an incident on July 20 at Linnels Bridge.
The court heard that, when stopped by police, Walker had 116mg of alcohol in his breath, compared to the legal limit of 35mg.
