A HARVEST show showcased the work and produce of its local community last weekend.
The Humshaugh Harvest Show took place on Saturday, and organiser Sarah Dodd built on last year’s successful debut to make this year’s event bigger and better.
“It was a great success with more than 200 individual entries, and some great creative and horticultural talent on show,” she said. “Entries came from villagers as young as two and as old as 82.
“The fun dog show, which was new for 2019, was a big hit with a competition for the ‘waggiest tail’ and ‘best strut’ categories.”
Entertainment from the Hexhamshire Lasses, the North Tyne Voices choir and a Northumbrian piper and fiddler, meant that there was plenty to watch. Mrs Dodd added: “The sun shone and the whole village came out to celebrate the talent of Humshaugh.”
