A MAN will go on trial accused of possessing a knife and driving without a seatbelt on the A69.
Matthew Stabler (22) of Salters Lane, Haswell, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Thursday accused of having a lock knife in his possession on the A69 near Wylam on June 4.
He is also accused of driving on the A69 while not wearing a seatbelt on the same date.
Stabler pleaded not guilty and was given unconditional bail until his next appearance at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court on November 14, where he will stand trial.
