A MAN has denied assaulting two police officers after they were called to reports of a disturbance.
Sean Walker (30), of Umfraville Dene, Prudhoe, appeared at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he denied two charges of assaulting an emergency worker.
He also pleaded not guilty to using threatening or abusive words of behaviour, and a separate charge of causing criminal damage.
It was alleged all offences took place in Prudhoe on June 23.
Walker admitted a charge of possessing a quantity of the class B drug, cannabis resin.
Walker was released on bail and will stand trial at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on December 12.
