A WOMAN who had her head shaved for charity has thanked everyone who supported her.
Jayne Jones, from Hexham, braved the shave for Macmillan Cancer Support at the town’s Grapes pub on Friday. Her efforts have seen her raise more than £1,400 for the charity through a fund-raising page and cash donations.
Jayne said: “I want to thank every business who supported me, all the hairdressers, barbers, and Tesco. They were all just so kind.
“I feel amazing, it was very emotional having all my family there and lots of great friends.
“Carla at the Grapes was great too, I have to give her a big shout out.
“Thank you to everybody really. I’ve braved the shave! To all the women out there, don’t be afraid.”
Jayne’s hair was cut by hairdresser Sarah Alan. Donations can be made via bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk/shavers/jayne-jones
