FORMER Tory leadership hopeful Rory Stewart visited Hexham on Tuesday.
The MP for Penrith and the Borders visited Hexham General Hospital before speaking to members of the public outside Hexham Abbey and in the Market Place.
He said: "I'm very strongly against a no deal Brexit. It would be unnecessary and damaging, and I think it would be very dangerous for small farmers.
"Particularly in my constituency, it would face a tariff war for sheep. One of the strongest reasons why I'm against a no deal Brexit is because I'm concerned about farming."
