VILLAGERS proudly presented their annual show for its 10th anniversary last weekend.

Horsley Village Show took place at the Lion and Lamb and saw a number of entries including those in flowers, crafts, cookery, fruit and vegetables, and photographs.

Competitions ranged from the tallest sunflower competition, to the tastiest home-made jam, and there was a variety of handmade items on display from the craft stalls.

And the selection of fruit and vegetables was described as pleasingly surprising considering the unfortunate weather the village had recently suffered.

The event organisers thanked Gill Humble, the pub landlady for hosting the show, and the organisers of the tombola along with those who donated prizes. Locals had rallied to promote the show by displaying advertising scarecrows in their gardens.
