SCOUTS from Hexham enjoyed a trip to remember as they spent some of their summer overseas.
Members of Hexham Scouts have recently returned from an action-packed summer camp in the heart of the Austrian Tirol, based in Elbigenalp in the Lech Valley.
During the 10-day adventure, the scouts took part in whitewater rafting, canyoning, high ropes, swimming, Alpine coasters, bowling and shooting.
They also visited the local wood carving school in the village as part of the cultural experience of the trip.
Hexham’s Scout leader, David Hefferin, said: “The Scouts have had a fantastic trip with many wonderful memories created.”
More adult leaders are being sought to help with the Scouts in Hexham. Anyone interested can find out more at www.1sthexhamscouts.org.uk.”
