A MOTORIST has been disqualified from driving for being double the legal drink drive limit.
Mark Stuart Miller (57), of West Wylam Drive, Prudhoe, pleaded guilty at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court last Thursday to driving while above the legal alcohol limit.
The court heard that, on June 14, he was driving on Broomhouse Road, in Prudhoe, with 78 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mgs.
He was fined £120 and ordered to pay a victim of surcharge of £30 and costs of £85 in addition to being disqualified from driving for 20 months.
