A YOUNG motorist failed to stop after being involved in an accident.
Jake Turnbull (20), of Cleughbrae Farm Cottages, Rochester, was involved in a collision with another vehicle on April 21 on the A68 near Bellingham.
At South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court last Thursday, he pleaded guilty to failing to stop after a road accident, driving without due care and attention and driving without third party insurance.
Magistrates fined Turnbull £230 and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £85. His driving licence was also endorsed with nine penalty points.
