MOUNTAIN rescue officers were called into action in Edmundbyers on Sunday to treat an injured mountain biker.
Members of Northumberland National Park and North of Tyne rescue teams attended the scene at around 1pm to treat a male who had crashed and injured his leg.
The rescue operation was then handed over to the Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team.
