A MAN has pleaded guilty to stalking a woman after he repeatedly called and threatened to follow her.

John Storey (29), of Bradley Road, Prudhoe, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court on July 4 where he pleaded guilty to one count of stalking. He also faced one count of breach of bail but entered no plea.

The court heard Storey launched a campaign against his victim after receiving treatment from her to assist with his learning difficulties.

Between April 17 and April 30 this year, he called his victim 18 times and threatened to follow her. He was granted unconditional bail and will reappear at the magistrates’ court in Bedlington on Wednesday, July 31.
