HEXHAM is set to appear on national television after film crews visited the town.

Filming took place in the town centre on Tuesday for a new, upcoming CBeebies show entitled Let’s Go For a Walk.

The show will see presenter Hamza Yassin joined by a group of children, known as ‘mini-ramblers,’ explore various locations throughout the country.

It is aimed at getting children outdoors and showing them that adventure and excitement can be found anywhere, even on walks to school or nursery.

Let’s Go For a Walk was created by Glasgow-based production company Hello Halo. The team has produced shows such as River Hunters and Fashion’s Dirty Secrets: Stacey Dooley Investigates in the past, as well as CBeebies hit Junk Rescue.

The show, which has secured a 30-episode run, is set to air on CBeebies next year.
