A MAN will stand trial after denying a charge of aggravated burglary.
Ben Derek Shields (29), of Bewick Lane, Ovingham, appeared at Newcastle Crown Court on Thursday and pleaded not guilty to stealing £103 from a house in Mickley on August 8, 2018, while armed with a screwdriver.
He will return to Newcastle Crown Court on January 7 for a trial, which is due to last two days.
