THE town of Hexham was looking more scrumptious than usual at the weekend.
A total of 25 hardy bakers took part in the inaugural Hexham Cake Fest which challenged people to construct the town’s famous landmarks out of cake.
Hosted by Hexham Community Centre, the edible map was created and then tucked into by visitors as an added treat.
Due to the success of the event, which included activities at the centre, there are plans to run it again next year.
