A MAN has denied failing to provide a specimen of breath to police.

Kenneth Youngman (58), of Bishops Hill, Acomb, pleaded not guilty at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court on Saturday to failing to provide specimen for analysis.

It was alleged that Youngman was asked to provide a breath sample to police following an motoring incident at Newcastle on June 1, but he refused to co-operate.

He will stand trial at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 27.
