A YOUNG dancer has been chosen to join a prestigious ballet company.
Eleven-year-old Chloe Makepeace from Henshaw pirouetted her way through the highly competitive audition process in April, to land a part as a snowflake in a professional production of The Nutcracker from English Youth Ballet (EYB).
She is one of 74 local young dancers set to perform in the production.
Chloe has danced since she was three years old, and specialises in ballet and tap. She took her first steps with Hexham-based dance studio No Limits, and has trained under the guidence of the studio’s teachers ever since.
It was studio owner Lisa Thompson who first encouraged Chloe to put herself forward, and helped her prepare for the audition.
The Nutcracker will run from July 11 to July 12 at Tyne Theatre and Opera House, Newcastle.
