A Prudhoe businessman failed to collect electrical waste
A BUSINESSMAN has pleaded guilty to failing to finance the appropriate collection and recovery of waste electrical items.
A director of Northern Compliance Limited, Vincent Eckerman (59), of Castlefields, Prudhoe, appeared at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.
The court heard producers of electrical items had a duty to finance the collection, treatment, recovery and recycling of waste electrical items, but Eckerman failed to do so between December 31, 2016 and April 1, 2018.
The case was adjourned until September 24.
