Police arrested a man on Sunday
A MAN was arrested in Haltwhistle this weekend on suspicion of stealing a car.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: “At 8.54am on Sunday we received a report a Vauxhall Astra had been stolen from outside a property in Town Hall Crescent, Haltwhistle. The vehicle was found some time later in Mill Lane, Haltwhistle. The driver, a 51-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and has been released under investigation.”
