FARMING minister Robert Goodwill paid a visit to Newcastle University's Nafferton Farm, near Stocksfield, on Friday morning as part of his trip around the North-East, where he met with students, lecturers, researchers and NFU officials.
Mr Goodwill, an alumni of Newcastle University, was given a tour of his old stomping grounds, and briefed by farm director James Standen about Nafferton's developments, future endeavours and current projects.
Mr Goodwill also took the time to speak with guests about Brexit, the environmentally-focused future of farming and why he isn't backing Boris Johnson in the upcoming leadership election.
