SERVICE personnel will receive free entry to Active Northumberland Leisure Centres this weekend to mark Armed Forces Day.
The county's main leisure provider announced that people who are either current serving, had served or are cadets in the armed forces will be able to use centres across Northumberland on Saturday and Sunday.
A spokeswoman for Active Northumberland, which runs Hexham's Wentworth Leisure Centre, Prudhoe Waterworld and Ponteland Leisure Centre, said: "The pass can be used for the whole family so whether it's to get some family fun in the pool or you want to try out the gym facilities we have on offer, this one is on Active Northumberland."
Service personnel wishing to take up the offer will need to download and complete a voucher on the Active Northumberland website, www.activenorthumberland.org.uk/ArmedForcesDay, which they must bring along to one of the centres to gain free access over that weekend.
