THE North-East can expect temperatures as high as 25C at the weekend.
The Met Office has predicted sunny spells for the region on Saturday, with warm temperatures expected on Thursday and Friday too. The weather is set to cool on Sunday.
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: "Through the week, there's easterly winds but as we head into Saturday this will change direction and it will be coming from a westerly angle.
"This means there will be warmer air coming across the land rather than the sea.
"Temperatures will be higher with potential highs of 25C."
