COMMUNITY groups are being offered the opportunity to showcase what services they provide.

Hexham Community Partnership is in the process of organising an event which will allow groups in the town to highlight what activities are on offer by providing a free platform.

The event, which is supported by Tynedale Lions, will take place on Saturday, August 31, in the main sports hall at Hexham’s Wentworth Leisure Centre.

It is being aimed at sports clubs, community groups, societies and hobby groups.

Lorraine Reay, of Hexham Community Partnership, said: “There are so many individuals and organisations who contribute to making Hexham a great place to live and work.

“The community showcase celebrates these groups and offers local people the chance to connect with each other and to find a group or club which matches their interests.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to attract new members, raise the profile of your organisation and to share your activities, events and interests with a wide audience.”

The showcase event will run from 10am to 2pm, and will be free of charge for exhibitors and attendees.

Groups and clubs can book a table at the event by emailing Lorraine at lorraine@hexhamcommunity.net, or phoning the partnership office on (01434) 622796.
