FOLK dance band Whapweasel will continue its 21st anniversary celebrations with a concert at Acomb Village Hall tomorrow night.
The seven-piece band, founded by Bardon Mill’s Brian Bell, along with other local musicians, is a firm favourite at music festivals up and down the country.
Those attending the Acomb gig will hear some new material from Whapweasel, which is set to release it’s seventh album Festivalis, next year.
Tomorrow’s concert, titled Summer Ceilidh, is set to provide a taste of the festival experience.
Bass player Brian will be joined by his daughter Heather on keyboard, Saul Rose on melodeon, Stuart and Fiona Finden on saxophone, Matt Price on guitar, and drummer Dan Ward.
Whapweasel has a busy summer ahead, and is set to play at festivals at Sidmouth, Shrewsbury and Whitby.
