A MAN has been fined £365 after pleading guilty to heroin possession.
Carl Smith (33), of Park Road, Haltwhistle, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
He pleaded guilty to a single charge of attempting to possess the controlled drug on February 16 in Haltwhistle.
As well as the fine, Smith was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
