FOR driving while above the legal drink limit, a man has been fined £200.
John James Anderson (65), of Aesica Road, Haltwhistle, pleaded guilty at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Thursday to driving with 115mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath on the town’s Main Street on March 8. The legal limit is 80mg.
He was ordered to pay a victim’s surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85, and was disqualified from driving for 27 months.
