THE addition of a new shop in a more central town centre location has helped grow the brand of an independent catering business.

That is according to Hexham Courant readers who recommended Top Nosh, in Hexham, as the best place in Tynedale to buy a sandwich.

The Courant recently asked its readers through its social media pages for recommendations, with the Hexham business, which added a new shop on Henctotes to its base in Haugh Lane Industrial Estate, before Christmas topping the list.

Owner Karen Robinson said: “I know everybody works pretty hard but setting up the new shop and putting a lot of hours in has been made worthwhile.

“It was really touching how many people commented about the shop and the addition of the new shop has helped us inform more people that we have the shop in the industrial estate too.”

Readers of the Hexham Courant were asked to explain their recommendations, with Graham Lamb saying: “At Top Nosh, there’s an awesome selection of sandwich breads/buns/wraps and a massive range of fillings. All of these are prepared right in front of you, with freshness guaranteed.

“Get there and try for yourself. I’m there most days, just for the banter.”

Top Nosh received just one more recommendation than Corbridge Sandwich Bar, with Knight’s Cafe, Cranstons, Small World Cafe and Queen’s Hall Cafe, all in Hexham, receiving multiple votes too.
