STUDENTS at a Tynedale high school have been exploring their future career options.

Prudhoe Community High School hosted its careers and apprenticeship evening on June 6, where students and their parents could discuss their options with a range of universities, colleges, businesses and independent training providers in attendance. The event was aimed at students in years 10, 11, 12 and 13.

Assistant headteacher John-Paul Nesbitt said the work the school was doing in this area ensured that it achieved all eight Gatsby Benchmarks by the end of 2020 – which are guidelines that define the best careers provision in schools and colleges.
