A MAN will carry out 100 hours of unpaid hours after admitted driving while over the legal drink limit.
Anthony Brown (27), of Wydon Park, Hexham, pleaded guilty at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court on Thursday to driving in the town on May 1 while above the limit.
The court heard that, when stopped by police, there was 110mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, which exceeded the drink limit of 80mg in 100ml of breath.
He was sentenced to a 12-month community order with the requirement of 100 hours unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay a victim’s surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85, and he was disqualified from driving for 26 months.
