PUPILS at Chollerton First School were treated to a visit from paralympic swimmer Jack Bridge last week.

The athlete spoke to pupils about training and perseverance as well as taking part in a fitness circuit and healthy lifestyle workshop.

There was also time to tell stories of his experiences representing Great Britain at the 2012 London Paralympic games, the world and European championships.

Headteacher at Chollerton First School Hazel Davey, said: “He was inspirational.

“We saw the visit as an opportunity to teach the children about their determination, positive attitude, and to learn what life’s like as a professional athlete.”
